Serie A side Fiorentina are reportedly considering a bid for West Ham striker Jonathan Calleri. The club would need a replacement for Nikola Kalinic, who could be leaving to China, and the Argentina striker is said to be on their radar.
But according to Tuttosport, the Viola aren’t much confident about getting a deal done, since the player would be looking forward for the chance to play in La Liga.
Calleri has been heavily linked to many Spanish clubs lately, including Valencia, Sevilla and Las Palmas.
As revealed by Sport Witness in November, it was never the player’s intention to join West Ham, as he would prefer a move to La Liga or Serie A, but couldn’t manage it during the summer.
The 23-year-old joined West Ham in August. He’s made nine appearances for the club so far, but failed to score in all of them.
The player is on loan from Uruguayan club Deportivo Maldonado, which is used by agents to buy talents from South America and then sell them in Europe.
