Good news for Everton in their reported chase for the Benfica winger Andre Carrillo.
According to reports from the Portuguese press today, Saudi side Al Hilal are not matching the Eagles’ demands to sign the player this summer.
Newspaper Record claims that the Lisbon side have asked for €4m for a season long loan spell, and would include a €20m buying option in the deal.
But Al Hilal, who have recently been pointed out as Everton’s srongest competitors in the race for Carrillo, think that’s too much money.
That should leave the Toffees alone in the race for the Peruvian international, at least if we consider the reports we’ve been covering for the past couple of months.
Record also points out that Carrillo hasn’t joined Benfica’s preseason squad, and wasn’t given a shirt number when the club announced it earlier this week.
So everything points out that he’s leaving. What Benfica now need to find is a club who can match their demands.
