Leicester City star Wilfried Ndid is ‘going to play for a big club’ and has all the qualities to succeed when he does.
That’s according to former Genk assistant manager Rudi Cossey, who worked with the player during his time at the Belgian club.
Ndidi has been a key player for Leicester since joining the club in a €16m deal from Genk in 2017, where he had established himself after arriving from Nath Boys FC in 2015.
The midfielder’s impressive performances, especially since the arrival of Brendan Rodgers as Leicester coach, have not gone unnoticed either, and at 25-years-old, many believe he is now ready for the next step in his career.
There’s already been several rumours about big clubs in Europe and England being ready to make their move, with Manchester United named as suitors and Tottenham said to have ‘taken information’ back in August.
Whether a move ever happens remains to be seen, and it’s very unlikely Leicester will allow one to happen without a fight.
Should Ndidi join a big club, though, his former coach is convinced he will shine as he has done at the King Power Stadium.
“He’s going to play for a big club,” Cossey told DH Net.
“He was a great guy, always smiling, and he loved to work. He was a hard worker.
“He did everything to grow in Genk, and he finally deserved his transfer to England. He has all the qualities to succeed!”
