Leicester City’s Dennis Praet has made nine appearances in all competitions this season, which includes two league starts.
The midfielder’s lack of regular minutes with the Foxes has not put off Bologna as they are looking at him for January.
That’s according to TuttoBolognaWeb, who say the Leicester player and VfL Wolfsburg’s Josip Brekalo have emerged as targets for the Serie A side.
Bologna sporting director, Marco Di Vaio, and their technical director, Giovanni Sartori, are admirers of Brendan Rodgers’ man. The two transfer chiefs ‘like’ the Belgium international, who is valued close to €10m.
A minimum of €8m would be needed to convince Leicester to part ways with the player. It is economically not feasible for the Italian club to sign the former Sampdoria man as the price quoted is deemed ‘too expensive’ for Bologna.
It would be possible for Thiago Motta’s side to secure Praet’s services in January through ‘cheap formulas’ like a loan with an option or obligation to buy. The economic factor isn’t the only challenge for Bologna as they will face competition from Torino to sign him.
On Monday, Tuttosport explained the Leicester midfielder is ready to take a pay cut to return to Torino in the winter market.
