Portuguese newspaper O Jogo today have a an article which advises Andre Silva to stay at AC Milan for at least another season, but also points out that a transfer could be on.

It’s stated Milan have different stances in public and private on the Portuguese striker.

To the media they continually praise Silva and talk up a long Milan career, but in private they’re said to be looking for a replacement and considering an exit if someone comes in.

O Jogo believe transfer games are ongoing, with Milan using tactics to prevent a complete collapse in the player’s value.

Wolves, of course, get a mention. They’re presented along with AS Monaco and Valencia (we only need Atletico Madrid now for a Jorge Mendes full-house) and the Nuno connection is pushed.

Nuno Espirito Santo helped launch Silva’s career so in that respect a move to Wolves would make some sense… only if the club really need him.

Should, for whatever reason, Benik Afobe not stay at Wolves, then the Andre Silva option comes more into focus.

It would be a huge gamble, but there are genuine connections, and this painting-by-numbers transfer rumour isn’t going anywhere.
