Two days ago, Gianluca di Marzio reported that Leeds United are in a ‘market duel’ with Bologna for Aberdeen’s Calvin Ramsay.
Stephen Glass, the Scottish club’s manager, admitted the speculation linking the right-back to other clubs has “definitely affected him”.
According to Il Resto del Carlino, Bologna manager Siniša Mihajlović shifted the focus to Utrecht’s Denso Kasius, after realising it won’t be easy to sign Ramsay due to Aberdeen’s demands and competition from the likes of Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Bologna wanted to take the player on loan with obligation to buy set at €3.5m. However, Aberdeen requested €6m plus bonuses. Therefore, the Italian club ‘raised the white flag’.
Over at Sky Italia, they now state Mihajlović’s side ‘found an agreement overnight’ with Utrecht for the permanent transfer of Kasius.
Their ‘first choice’ was Ramsey, but the ‘competition from Leeds United had complicated’ things for them.
