Real Betis director Miguel Torrecilla has spoken again about Charly Musonda’s situation, as the club expect to have the player on loan for one more season.
The representative says the decision is in Chelsea’s hands, who’ve been slowing things down because it’s not full clear what Antonio Conte wants to do.
“With Musonda, we are depending on Chelsea’s deadlines. Chelsea have hired a manager who is also national team coach. They are not having time as they would like. It’s true that we spoke with Poyet and we all have the idea that Musonda stays with us. We are waiting for Chelsea.”
Torrecilla has also hinted that Chelsea could be using Musonda to take advantage in negotiations to sign players from other clubs.
“There are a few details left in the new negotiation. It’s not simple, it is clear that the player has other alternatives and markets and you have to understand that Chelsea fights for players of world elite and it’s normal that they use Musonda and other loaned players as negotiation tools. We are optimistic. Everything has a limit and we will see the times.”
Even the Spanish media are starting to get bored with Musonda’s saga. El Desmarque finish their article by asking “how long will the club’s patience last?”
