Despite the arrival of Andreas Pereira, Fulham should not have two Brazilians in their squad for the 2022/23 season, according to reports from the South American country.
Journalist Venê Casagrande writes that Cottagers’ striker Rodrigo Muniz has been sought by Championship clubs, including Middlesbrough, and could leave this summer.
It’s said Fulham currently ‘study’ the possibility of loaning out the player, so he can get more experience as well.
According to Venê Casagrande, Middlesbrough are one of the clubs who are interested in the signing, while the others are not named.
It’s just been one year since Fulham spent €8m to sign Muniz from Flamengo.
In his first season with the cottagers, the youngster had five goals in 28 appearances, providing a little help in their campaign for promotion to the Premier League.
Now with a bigger challenge ahead, the West London side seem to be more concerned about the player’s evolution than in having him in England’s top flight at the age of 21.
For now, there’s no information on how close are Middlesbrough to landing the player, or if they’re ahead of others in the competition for the signing.
