Since it’s been a while since the Brazilian media last brought updates on Palmeiras’ chase for Fulham striker Carlos Vinícius, outlet Lance now shares a fresh story on this pursuit.
The website writes that even though the Verdão made initial contact with the centre-forward’s staff and were expected to make a bid for him after the end of the Brazilian season, that hasn’t happened yet.
It’s said Palmeiras ended up focusing on reinforcing other positions in the squad, and their interest in the Fulham player has gone ‘cold’ right now.
The interesting thing is that it’s claimed that Carlos Vinícius sees a move to Brazil ‘with good eyes’, even though he’s also wanted by European clubs.
Lance writes there’s still some ‘expectation’ that an offer can be made by Palmeiras, although it’s known they must place a convincing bid for the Whites to accept.
Fulham spent €5m to sign Carlos Vinícius from Benfica in 2022. Featuring for Marco Silva’s side this season, he only has 355 minutes on the pitch, with three goals in 13 appearances so far.
