Yerry Mina may not be leaving Everton in great form, but that doesn’t mean that several clubs won’t be interested in signing him.

As the defender’s contract with the Toffees expires at the end of the season, Brazilian sides are already lining up to land him as a free agent.

We now get to see a couple of stories from the local media talking about that. One of them comes from IG, saying Atlético Mineiro have been keeping an eye on the Everton defender ‘for a long time’, and now see his arrival ‘with good eyes’.

Something similar is reported by UOL. They claim not only Atlético, but also Palmeiras are ‘hopeful’ that Mina doesn’t sign a new deal with the Toffees and becomes available next summer.

To be fair, that doesn’t look like a big risk. Besides sitting out for most games with an ankle injury, Mina was only used by Everton three times this season. He hadn’t been of much use to the club the previous season either, with only 14 appearances. So it doesn’t sound like the club will make big efforts to keep him.
