A few days ago, the German media came out with the rather surprising news that Bayern Munich were after Liverpool’s Sadio Mané.
This led to the Spanish media to put forward the idea that Barcelona were also keen on him, but it appears that it’s the Bavarians who are pushing the hardest.
This is what Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg is reporting on Friday afternoon, pointing out the desire from Bayern to sign the Liverpool star is ‘finally confirmed’.
This all comes from Hasan Salihamidzic, the club’s director of football, who ‘wants Mané’, making the Senegalese forward the ‘desired top transfer’ this summer.
In fact, Julian Nagelsmann is ‘also aware of the plans’ of his club to go after the Liverpool forward for next season in order to bolster the squad.
Plettenberg then adds that all this is ‘top secret within the club’ and that ‘first talks have taken place’.
✌🏽 As reported and now finally confirmed: Salihamidzic wants #Mané! He is the desired top transfer in summer. Nagelsmann is also aware of the plans. It’s top secret within the club. First talks have taken place. @SkySports #LFC https://t.co/3M8yp6EX79
