Paris Saint-Germain are looking to strengthen their midfield in the winter market and Abdoulaye Doucoure of Watford and Everton’s Idrissa Gueye are identified as targets by the Ligue 1 winners.
Paris United have provided the latest update surrounding the French champions’ chase to bring in a new player to strengthen the centre of the pitch.
It’s explained that Thomas Tuchel’s side and the entourage of the 25-year-old have held talks, during which they have agreed for the transfer to take place in the winter market.
However, no deal has been agreed between Les Parisiens and the Premier League outfit and for the transfer to take shape, PSG submitted their first offer of €33m, which was initially reported by the Daily Mail.
When Paris United contacted Watford’s owner Gino Pozzo about the deal, he said: “Do not expect to see this player leave immediately.”
The report mentions the English side are looking at a fee of €50m to sanction Doucoure’s sale in January and it should be seen whether PSG are willing to pay that fee for the Hornets star.
