Although part of the Lisbon media say today that Liverpool are trying to renew Rafael Camacho’s contract with the club, there are outlets who are more confident about his move out away from Anfield.

Newspaper Correio da Manhã says today that the Reds have already put a price tag on the 19-year-old, and that’s €8m.

Sporting were the first to become interested in the signing. They want to bring Camacho as a symbol of their academy, as he played for the Lions before moving to England.

The problem is that they had a loan move blocked by Jurgen Klopp back in January, and are now set to make a new attempt, for a loan or a permanent deal.

Benfica have now joined the race as well. And as reported by Correio da Manhã, they have better financial conditions to get a deal done, as they can afford a €8m move.

So Sporting’s hope would be that Camacho would favour a move back to the Lions due to his history at the club. The ‘loyalty’.

But the player won’t have much of a choice in case Sporting don’t get to a deal with Liverpool.
