Remember when some thought the Ivan Perisic saga would be over once he got on a plane to China with Inter Milan’s squad for the pre-season? As we said at the time, that was never going to be the case.
Apparently, the Italian side are still convinced they can get serious some money for the winger, and even include Anthony Martial in the deal with Manchester United, something continually repeated in Italy.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Inter are still thinking that the 21-year-old Frenchman should arrive to replace Perisic at the club.
The outlet claims Inter will continue demanding €50m for the Croatian international, but they want Martial to arrive on a loan deal with an option for them to buy him at the end of the season.
It’s claimedInter may even spend a bit extra to pay for the loan, but that will not give Manchester United a huge discount on the €50m fee.
Because, you know, Martial is not worth a lot of money as far as Inter are concerned. Perisic is.
