Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin have ruled out a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Max Meyer after deciding the player issn’t good enough.
Meyer has found game time hard to come by at Selhurst Park this season, having managed just six starts and less than 500 minutes of football in all competitions.
He has been linked with a return to Germany as a result, with Hertha Berlin one of the clubs linked with his signature.
However, it seems they will no longer be a potential option for the midfielder, with Sport Bild reporting that their interest is now at ‘zero’.
They were keen on the Crystal Palace man before his move to London, but that interest has now cooled significantly.
They have determined that his ‘qualities’ are ‘no longer enough’ for what they’re looking for. In other words, they don’t think he’s good enough.
He’s got interest from elsewhere, with consultant Roger Wittmann said to be ‘examining offers’ for his client. Unfortunately, one of those offers will not be from Hertha Berlin.
