Torino’s ambition to sign Leicester City’s Dennis Praet remains ‘concrete’, according to Tuttosport.
The Foxes took the midfielder from Sampdoria last summer and he made 27 league appearances in his debut season in England.
Praet’s ex-coach Marco Giampaolo is currently in charge of the Serie A side, and has already brought Karol Linetty to Torino from Sampdoria.
The Belgium international and Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira sent best wishes to Linetty on Instagram, and the Premier League duo then received a barrage of comments from Torino supporters, urging them to join their club.
According to the report, it’s possible for the Italian club to sign Praet this summer, even though he earns €2m net per season at the King Power.
It’s claimed Brendan Rodgers’ side, who spent €19.2m on his signing last summer, seem to be willing to let Praet go out on loan with a buying clause.
That seems questionable, to say the least, but it’s still being claimed.
Tuttosport explain Torino’s chances of landing the Leicester player are ‘more generous’, even if Fiorentina ‘seem to stand out’ for his signature.
That could be down to former Sampdoria sporting director Daniele Pradé’s presence at Fiorentina.
Torino fans have made their voices heard regarding signing Praet, and it’s now down to the club to see if they can convince Leicester.
