Throughout this summer we have covered various claims on Southampton’s Guido Carrillo and interest from several clubs in acquiring his services.

The 28-year-old spent the last season on loan at Leganes and they have been one of the sides who have been trying to acquire the striker’s services from the start of the window.

After the Spanish side’s 1-0 defeat to Osasuna, Mauricio Pellegrino admitted the Saints’ demands have made it difficult to get the deal over the line.

Marca provides the latest update on the Argentine and it’s claimed the La Liga side are looking to bring in three new players before the window closes on September 2nd.

The former AS Monaco man is the ‘main objective’ for Leganes and they have already closed an agreement with the player for several days. However, the Premier League side are yet to give the ‘OK’ for the move.

Southampton are demanding €10-15m for the South American, but Leganes’ idea is to take Carrillo on a loan deal with a purchase option.
