Sevilla are focusing on getting Kelechi Iheanacho’s move to Middlesbrough sealed on deadline day of the window.

That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who report that the Spanish side are fully focused on sealing an exit to Middlesbrough for the striker.

The newspaper explains that the focus is currently on outgoings at Sevilla as they look to trim the squad and help balance the books.

Their current efforts are focused on Iheanacho so that they can ‘seal the documents’ to secure his move to Middlesbrough before the window closes this evening.

The striker has been linked with a move away from the club throughout the January transfer window after failing to impress anyone since arriving on a free transfer after leaving Leicester in the summer.

The club are keen to get him off the books as he is not a part of their plans and a deal taking him to Middlesbrough is close to being done. Sevilla are focused on getting the paperwork done so that so he can leave and return to the Championship.

Iheanacho played in the division with Leicester City last season, and it seems Middlesbrough are hoping he can come in the second half of the season and provide their promotion push with goals.
