Morgan Sanson is one of the many midfielders who have been linked to West Brom since the start of the summer transfer window. Tony Pulis lost out on targets in the summer and has been keen to add to his midfield already in this window.
Claims from Portugal of approaches for William Carvalho may have been exaggerated, and Morgan Schneiderlin was always likelier to join Everton.
Another West Brom target could also be slipping from the club’s grips unless Pulis and co act soon.
A couple of days ago we reported that Sanson’s club Montpellier had rejected a Marseille offer of €6m-7m, with their president Louis Nicollin revealing his price to be: “Between 10 and 15 million.”
French newspaper L’Equipe report Marseille have now pushed their offer up to €9.5m including bonuses, but Nicollin usually means what he says and will hold out for more.
With Marseille making the effort and getting closer to Montpellier’s valuation, if Pulis is seriously interested then West Brom need to move or another option could soon be gone.
