Carlos Soler arrived at West Ham United on loan from Paris Saint-Germain on summer deadline day and made 13 appearances for the Hammers.

The midfielder has made five starts in the Premier League and four of them were in the last four games.

Fichajes.net say the Spaniard struggled initially at West Ham before starting to shine in their recent fixtures.

This has seen Real Sociedad take notice and they’ve decided to make the 27-year-old the ‘star signing for next summer’. The La Liga side believe the West Ham man’s profile could fit perfectly in their style of football.

Soler’s contract at the Ligue 1 side lasts until 2027 and the report states they have set a €20m asking price. This puts his signing beyond the Spanish club’s reach and they will try to convince PSG to lower the price.

La Real would be ‘willing to bet heavily’ on Soler and Fichajes.net didn’t take into account the possibility of the Hammers retaining him. On Wednesday, Soler said he’s “very happy” in London, hinting the possibility of a longer stay at West Ham.

It’ll be interesting to see what Real Sociedad will do if the Premier League side decide to retain Soler.
