While the Ghanaian, when fit, has been key to Arsenal since his move to the Emirates, his Uruguayan counterpart has failed to make the most of his opportunity under Diego Simeone in Spain, making just six appearances in the league since the start of the campaign.
That’s included just one 19 minute cameo in the past five games, leading many to believe his loan could be cut short this month in search for a club who could guarantee him more minutes.
