Sabah claim Galatasaray have told Manchester City defender Jason Denayer they will come in for him after the English transfer window closes.

Denayer is currently in the United States with Manchester City, but the player is expected to the leave the Premier League club this summer.

Sabah say the Galatasaray board are looking to sign Denayer for ‘minimum cost’ because of FFP implications, and they’ve told the Belgian to wait.

The Turkish newspaper report Galatasaray are looking to offer Denayer €1.5m for the season, and the Belgium international is keen on the move as the Turkish side will be in the Champions League next season.

Sabah claim Galatasaray will make their move after the 9th of August and then they’ll have 22 days to get an agreement with Manchester City. The plan is probably to move when City can’t use English competition as a reason to push the price up.
