Such is the extent that Chelsea send their players out on loan, there are often players that get forgotten about.

Mario Pasalic is undoubtedly one such player. He joined the Blues in 2014 but has spent the last five years out on loan with a plethora of clubs.

His latest move saw him head to Italy with Atalanta and he’s making something of a big impression at the club.

While two goals and two assists in 14 games are not huge numbers, Pasalic has been earning rave reviews for his performances.

And, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, if that continues, Atalanta will ‘seriously think’ about turning his move into a permanent one.

The newspaper explains there is a belief that next year Pasalic ‘could be worth double’ and this was something his agent, Marko Naletilic, considered when sorting out the loan deal in the summer.

Pasalic’s deal at Atalanta includes an option for another loan spell next year and a €15m purchase option as well, and that’s a price Atalanta will consider worth it if he continues to perform as he is.

They say it seems like the 24-year-old ‘is capable of anything’ and there is a belief that €15m could represent good business for the club.

Atalanta are planning to talk to Chelsea about the midfielder at the end of the season.

Pasalic would be keen on the move, according to Gazzetta, with them stating he wants to stay at the club after six loan spells in recent years.
