Manchester City’s Lukas Nmecha is currently on loan at Anderlecht and he’s leading their strike force this season.
The Citizens owned player has impressed for the team led by Vincent Kompany, scoring 17 goals and registering three assists in all competitions.
His performances has convinced Anderlecht to retain him beyond this season, while they are also looking at other strikers in the market.
According to Het Nieuwsblad, Royal Antwerp star Lior Refaelov is been identified as a target for the Jupiler Pro League side.
Dieumerci Mbokani is also on Anderlecht’s radar, but their interest in the DR Congo international not concrete because of Nmecha.
Today’s edition of the newspaper states the Belgian side will ‘move heaven and earth’ in their efforts to sign the City striker again on a fresh loan in the summer.
The Germany U21 international’s contract at the Etihad runs down in 2022 and only if he signs an extension with City, Kompany’s side can retain Nmecha on a temporary deal for one more season.
For now, the German is their primary target, but in the event Anderlecht fail to sign the 22-year-old again, they will look at the possibility of signing Mbokani.
