Raheem Sterling’s influence at Manchester City has been under question this season, as he’s been restricted to 274 minutes of action across seven league matches, that includes only two starts.

On Tuesday, Mundo Deportivo reported the winger and RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo are the two priority targets for Barcelona in the winter market.

Sport stated the 26-year-old is ‘crazy’ to join the La Liga side after their failed efforts to sign him in the summer.

Another report from Mundo stated Barca have funds to make new additions in January. AS have relayed it and they give their take on the England international.

The newspaper states signing Sterling ‘seems more feasible’ for Barcelona, rather than making an attempt to land Olmo. That’s because Pep Guardiola no longer counts heavily on the attacker, who was ‘on the verge’ of leaving the Etihad during the last window.

Despite the summer failure, AS say Barca ‘will make a new attempt’ to sign the former Liverpool man in January.

The Catalan club believe Manchester City will not stand in Sterling’s way, ‘as long as there is a good offer’ for him.
