Earlier on Tuesday, we covered positive news for those who want Tanguy Ndombélé out of Tottenham.
Antonio Conte is likely one of those, as he appears to have no interest in using the Frenchman going forward this season, which is why a move to Napoli is being worked on.
Everything looked very promising when Sky Italia stated the Serie A club were closing the deal with Tottenham; a sentiment which is now being backed up by Rai Sport.
This comes courtesy of their journalist Ciro Venerato, relayed by Tutto Napoli, who claimed that ‘as soon as the transfer of Fabian Ruiz to PSG is defined in all its details’, then Napoli ‘will definitely close for the strong French midfielder’.
It won’t happen immediately, though, but it’s expected that Ndombele ‘should join the team by the third match day’, which is on August 28th against Fiorentina.
As for the details, they are fairly similar to what Sky Italia were reporting, with Venerato reporting that Napoli will pay €500k up front (instead of the €1m touted earlier on) with an option to buy at €30m.
Regarding his wages, which were said to be problematic, he earns €6m of fixed salary at Tottenham, of which Napoli will pay €2.5m + €500k in bonuses, ‘while the other €3m will be paid’ by Spurs.
