Back on Monday, The Guardian brought a story saying West Ham are looking to bring Felipe Anderson back from his loan spell at Porto.
With the midfielder not getting much playing time at the Dragons, the Hammers would now focus on his permanent sale, since his contract expires next year.
Well, that obviously got big coverage in Portugal, where most outlets are repeating what was said in England.
The only newspaper who seems to bring their own take is O Jogo, who claims it shouldn’t be hard for West Ham to cut short the spell.
According to O Jogo, Porto ‘won’t make his departure difficult’ as his performances ‘couldn’t properly excite the fans nor the manager’. Meanwhile, Felipe Anderson ‘doesn’t see the change with bad eyes either’, and his entourage is ‘attentive and studying alternatives’.
Since joining the Dragons in the summer, the Brazilian has made only five appearances. He was criticised for a couple of mistakes he made in his first games, and was never able to shine for the club.
