Haberturk report Besiktas are looking to raise funds by selling some of their players ahead of the January transfer window.

The Turkish club are in deep financial trouble and Haberturk say Besiktas president Fikret Orman is planning to offload some players to ease the situation, including reported Leeds United target Jeremain Lens.

Lens has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent weeks, with claims Besiktas are ready to accept offers in the region of €5m for the 31 year old.

According to Haberturk, with Leeds United topping the Championship table at Christmas they are considering making a formal offer for Lens to boost their chances of promotion to the Premier League.

Besiktas are ready to accept the terms if a suitable bid comes in from the West Yorkshire club., wanting to take the opportunity.

Lens has made 20 appearances for Besiktas this season, scoring 5 goals.
