Last week, claims from the Turkish press talked about Fenerbahçe’s interest in Tottenham Hotspur’s Ivan Perišić.

Journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, relayed by Milliyet, now provides fresh updates on the possibility of the 34-year-old ending up in Istanbul.

Tottenham signed Perišić on a free transfer last summer, when Antonio Conte was in charge at the club.

Ange Postecoglou was appointed as the Italian’s permanent successor. The left wing-back doesn’t seem willing to continue in north London as Sabuncuoğlu says he’s been proposed to Fenerbahçe.

The Croatia international has a year left on his contract. The journalist states Fenerbahçe have informed his entourage they don’t intend to pay a fee to secure his services in the summer window.

Sabuncuoğlu’s claim about the former Inter Milan man being offered to the Turkish club is also echoed up by Fotomaç.

They add the Yellow Canaries have ‘welcomed’ the player joining them but a final decision on this deal will be made by their new manager. They are currently without a coach after Jorge Jesus’ departure.

Fotomaç state Perišić’s agent has informed Fenerbahçe that he can get his client out of Spurs ‘without a transfer fee’, and whether Tottenham would accept this formula needs to be seen.

Last season, Perišić managed a goal and 12 assists from 44 games for Tottenham.
