Earlier today, Super Deporte explained Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Lee Kang-in and Gonçalo Guedes, and Valencia are asking for Rafa Mir as part of the operation, preferably on a loan deal.
Estadio Deportivo cover these claims and then provide their own information on Sevilla’s effort for Guedes.
Los Ches agreed to pay €40m to Paris Saint-Germain for the winger and €23m of the total fee is still to be paid.
With Valencia in need of money, Julen Lopetegui’s side are ready to offer around €23m to acquire the Portugal international’s services. His €5m gross annual salary shouldn’t be a problem for the Seville based club.
Wolves are also interested in Guedes and are ready to allow Mir, who is currently on loan at SD Huesca, to join Valencia as part of the operation.
Sevilla, who also have an interest in Mir, ‘want to sneak into that [Guedes-Mir swap deal] equation’ to take the former PSG man. They have already ‘taken the first steps’ to sign Guedes.
Guedes and Mir are represented by Jorge Mendes, and Sevilla sporting director, Monchi, has a close relationship with the representative. The super-agent also has close ties with Los Ches’ owner, Peter Lim.
In any case, ‘everything is in the hands of Mendes’ and ED state the agent will ‘end up doing with the footballer what interests him most.’
Sevilla are in the picture to take Guedes, and it remains to be seen whether they can beat Wolves for his signing.
