It seems it only took a few months for Tanguy Ndombélé to convince Napoli to buy him from Tottenham Hotspur.
Following the 18 appearances the midfielder has for the Serie A side so far, the football media is already talking about his permanent move to Italy.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Napoli are set to open talks with Tottenham by the beginning of January. Their idea is to buy him for less than the initially agreed purchase option, which stands at €30m.
The report claims the mission ‘will not be easy’, since Daniel Levy is well known for being a tough negotiator, and especially because Spurs paid €60m to sign Ndombélé from Lyon.
On Napoli’s side, however, there’s the player’s wish. Foot Mercato claims that the midfielder feels good ‘on and off the pitch’ at the Serie A side, and will also ‘be in favour’ of making the permanent switch.
With Aurelio De Laurentiis also being known as a very good negotiator, it shall be interesting to see him engaging in talks with Daniel Levy.
