Stade Rennais have been working on multiple departures in recent weeks and the time has come for them to look at getting some players through the door ahead of the Ligue 1 season.

The club finished 10th in Ligue 1 last season and are looking to freshen up areas of their squad. That’s seen them look towards the Championship for potential value deals.

L’Equipe report Stade Rennais are keen on Glen Kamara. The 28-year-old Finland international has a contract with Leeds United lasting until June 2027, so the Whites are under no pressure in that regard.

The French club see Kamara as a ‘dynamic midfielder’, someone who can play box to box and help out in defence when required to do so.

Crucially, there’s no mention of the fee that Stade Rennais would be ready to spend, or what Leeds United would be looking for to part ways with Kamara this summer.

That will be key and could Stade Rennais walk away if the finances are too high for them.
