Not long ago, when the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid were being linked to Christian Eriksen, Italian weren’t so seriously involved.
Tottenham Hotspur were demanding big money for the Danish midfielder, and Serie A clubs didn’t look so keen on joining the race.
But Eriksen stayed, and since he’s entering the final year of his contract, it’s time for the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus to start considering his signing.
Earlier this week, we covered claims of interest from the Old Lady, and now it’s the Nerazzurri who are said to be chasing him.
Newspaper Tuttosport has brought two articles about it in the past two days. On Wednesday, it was claimed Inter would ‘raise the bar’ regarding targets, despite knowing how difficult it would be to land Eriksen. The price and competition for him were both pointed out as issues.
Today, Tuttosport talks more about Inter’s targets, and brings a few more details about this chase.
There’s worry about commissions and big wages if there’s a chance to sign the Tottenham player as a free agent.
They want Eriksen to be a ‘gift’ for Antonio Conte, who expects a creative midfielder to arrive next summer.
