Liverpool’s Martin Skrtel is expected to leave Anfield this summer, with reports Liverpool have already accepted an offer of £5.5m from Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce, however, aren’t the only ones interested in the Slovakian skipper after claims AS Roma, Galatasaray and Besiktas are also in the race to sign the 31-year-old.
Recently, reports in Italy suggest AS Roma have offered a three-year contract to Skrtel, and are close to signing the player.
The Liverpool defender, yesterday, posted a message on Instagram saying ‘nothing has been decided yet’ and that he’ll decide his future after the Euros.
According to a latest reports Tutto Mercato Web have revealed AS Roma are in ‘pole position’ to sign Martin Skrtel, and have also set their eyes on former Tottenham Hotsour defender Vedran Corluka.
The Lokomotiv Moscow star has impressed in this summer’s Euros for his country, and could return to a major European league this summer.
A move to the Serie A club does look like the best option for Skrtel, as that’d allow him to stay in a top European league.
The Slovakian defender has spent 9 seasons at Anfield, and was signed by former boss Rafael Benitez in a £6.5m from Zenit Saint Petersburg.
