Leicester City allowed Dennis Praet spend the 2021/22 season on loan at Torino and his displays convinced the Serie A side to make his stay permanent.
Earlier this week, La Stampa reported Torino chief Davide Vagnati flew to England to hold talks with the Foxes over a potential deal for the midfielder.
Torino are not the only club looking at the 28-year-old, however, as Fiorentina have now joined the chase to sign him, according to multiple claims from Italy.
Corriere dello Sport on Thursday explain Fiorentina looked at the Belgium international in the January window, when he was still on loan at Torino.
La Viola are back for the Leicester player and are working to take him on a permanent transfer in a deal about €7m.
Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Pradè knows Praet well from their time at Sampdoria.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian club ‘want to buy him outright’.
It’s claimed Fiorentina will present an offer of €7m to Leicester in the ‘next few days’, but the report also adds the possibility of taking Praet on a loan deal with an obligation to buy could also be an option for them.
