AC Milan could be set to drop their interest in Carney Chukwuemeka, not wanting to get involved in a financial fight for the Aston Villa player.

The 18-year-old has been linked with multiple clubs around Europe this summer, with it being clear there’s agents pushing the situation. Sides such as PSG and Barcelona have been linked, without it seeming like either club were really making an effort for the signing.

At one point it was claimed a deal to join Borussia Dortmund had already been agreed and it was just a question of whether the midfielder would move this summer or wait until he’s a free agent next year. That claim was quickly rubbished by the media closest to the German club, something which calls into question much of what else has been said.

Milan News say the Rossoneri don’t want to get involved in an auction for the player, so their interest has cooled and the club are looking elsewhere. Aston Villa are thought to be asking for €15m, a figure which is deemed excessive given the youngster’s contract situation.
