AC Milan are finally closing in on a deal for Tottenham defender Emerson Royal and are waiting for the green light from Spurs on the matter.
That’s according to Gianluca di Marzio, who reports that the long negotiations between the two sides may finally about to be ended.
The Rossoneri are waiting for the green light from Tottenham to finalise the transfer after sending their latest offer for the Brazilian.
Di Marzio offers no details on the fees involved in the deal, but the latest reports indicated they want €15m plus €3m while Milan’s latest offer is €17m in total, €2m of which is made up of bonuses.
Thus, the two sides are close but not there yet and Di Marzio now reports that Milan are waiting for the green light to arrive to finalise matters and bring the drawn out saga to an end.
Their belief is that the operation could be closed either today or tomorrow, suggesting that they believe their latest offer should be good enough to convince Tottenham to finally accept.
We certainly hope that is the case, with these negotiations having now gotten to the point of frustrating everyone.
