Last week, we’ve seen the Spanish media claiming Granada would like to keep Kenedy from Chelsea.
Following the loan spell the player had at the La Liga side, they’d now wait for the Blues’ stance and see the possibilities to sign him again in the summer window.
Now it turns out the Spanish club should find competition for his transfer, because according to reports from Brazil, Flamengo are interested in the 25-year-old as well.
Globo Esporte is the one reporting the news and they say there are no negotiations for now, but the Rio de Janeiro side are waiting for a chance to start moving.
Flamengo recently announced they’re letting Kenedy use their facilities to keep his shape, and even though that hasn’t been authorised by Chelsea yet, that was a sign to show how much they want him.
Globo Esporte says Flamengo know they’ll get competition from Europe and will keep waiting for now, as there are still two months until the Brazilian transfer window opens.
In case they find a ‘breach’, then they’ll try to buy the player from Chelsea.
In his last season with Girona, Kenedy had eight goals and six assists in 44 appearances.
Even though he’s doing fine in Spain, joining Flamengo would give him the chances of fighting for big titles in South America.
His contract with Chelsea runs until 2024.
