Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has left Achraf Lazaar out of his plans, which is why the left-back hasn’t been included in the Magpies first team squad this season.

Despite the current situation, the 29-year-old continues to attract interest from Italy and, surprisingly, from AC Milan.

That’s what Sportmediaset are reporting today and add the Serie A side view the Tyneside club’s defender as a ‘solution’ in the winter market.

Theo Hernández is first choice left-back at the San Siro and his club are looking to bring a backup for the Frenchman. According to the report, the Rossoneri’s choice ‘could fall on’ the Morocco international.

Lazaar’s current deal at St James’ Park runs until the end of this season, but his agent is ‘negotiating the termination’ of his contract with the Premier League club.

The current Newcastle player’s signing can be a ‘good, low cost deal’ for the Italian side mainly for two reasons. The fullback is willing to accept Milan as a destination and also the secondary role he will have there.

As per Sportmediaset, Stefano Pioli’s side are not the only club chasing Lazaar, but they don’t provide details of any other club interested in the Moroccan.

AC Milan are currently top of Serie A, and a move there would be very fortunate for the Newcastle United player.
