Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé is a priority target for Real Madrid and that’s been regularly discussed in the Spanish media.

Liverpool are also interested in the forward and three days ago, L’Equipe reported the Reds have wanted the 22-year-old for ‘many years.’

His current deal runs down in 2022 and an extension doesn’t appear imminent.

Today’s edition of Sport discusses the France international’s contract situation, and how both Mauricio Pochettino and Liverpool could threaten the La Liga winners.

PSG appointed the ex-Spurs manager as Thomas Tuchel’s successor, and the Argentine’s first mission is to resolve Mbappé’s contract situation. The Paris club remain hopeful Pochettino will be a ‘differential factor’ in convincing the player to sign a new deal.

Sport mentions Pochettino was looked as an option to become Zinedine Zidane’s successor at Real Madrid a month ago. He could now become their ‘enemy’ in signing Mbappé.

The new PSG manager had already blocked Harry Kane from joining the Spanish giants during his time at Spurs.

The newspaper talks about the Merseyside club and adds Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool are another ‘rival’ for Los Blancos to acquire the PSG attacker’s services. According to Sport, Klopp ‘dreams’ of signing Mbappé.

In addition to this, the English club’s coach ‘maintains contact’ with the Frenchman so that he can have the forward ‘at his command at Liverpool’.
