Watford’s Kiko Femenía has emerged as a transfer target for SD Eibar, according to Marca.

It’s claimed the La Liga side are ‘very interested’ in bringing the right-back to the club this summer, despite having Alvaro Tejero and Roberto Correa as two players in the same position.

Femenía has pleased Eibar’s sporting leaders in the past, which is why they looked at the possibility of signing the Hornets defender a few seasons ago.

There’s no clarity on the timeframe, but they plan on coming back again to sign him in the ongoing window.

Any approach from Eibar won’t be easy because the newspaper states Valencia and Real Valladolid have also knocked on the fullback’s door.

Valencia manager Javi Gracia trained the defender during his time with the Hornets, and he would ‘make it difficult’ for Eibar in signing Femenía.

Watford were relegated from the Premier League and with less than a year left on his contract, it’s not clear whether or not Femenía wants to play in the Championship next season.

He made 28 league appearances last season.
