Borussia Dortmund are looking to strengthen their defence with Manchester City’s Yan Couto this summer.
Last Tuesday, we covered claims from Germany which stated BVB have a deal in place with the right-back.
This is echoed by Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a short update on Dortmund’s pursuit of the Manchester City man.
Berger claims the Bundesliga side are ‘still very interested’ in the 22-year-old, and he is also keen to join them in this window. Therefore, it won’t be an issue for them to agree personal terms with the Brazil international.
Nuri Şahin’s side have to find an agreement with the Premier League winners, and to do that the journalist claims they are in contact with Manchester City.
He adds BVB are ready to offer a fee between €20m and €25m, while the Citizens are demanding €30m for the player.
Manchester City signed the fullback from Brazilian side Coritiba in 2020, and have sent him out on loan since then. He hasn’t yet made an appearance for them and his deal at the Etihad lasts until 2025.
Taking this into account, Dortmund could try to convince Pep Guardiola’s side to lower their demand for Couto.
