In 2016, Arsenal signed Kelechi Nwakali for their youth set-up, from Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria.

The midfielder has not made a first team appearance for the Gunners and has spent time away on loan in the Netherlands and Portugal over the past three years.

Tuesday’s edition of Spanish newspaper AS talks about Huesca’s interest in the 21-year-old.

It is claimed the Segunda División side are ‘very advanced’ in signing the Arsenal player, and also Real Madrid’s Jaime Seoane.

Regarding the Gunners player, the report states the second division Spanish side want to bet on Nwakali for the new season. Therefore, they’re willing to make an effort in signing him.

Having spent time away from Arsenal, Nwakali now ‘seeks stability’ for the 2019/20 campaign.

AS’ report does not make it clear whether Huesca will sign Nwakali on loan or a permanent transfer.

Although Transfermarkt states he has a year left on his contract, various British outlets suggest Nwakali signed a five-year deal, meaning he still has two years left at the Emirates.
