Fanatik have again reported on Trabzonspor’s search for a central defender and claim Crystal Palace’s Mamadou Sakho and Inter Milan’s Andrea Ranocchia are their prime targets at the moment.
The Turkish club will be looking to further add to their squad in this transfer window after loaning Badou Ndiaye from Stoke City. Signing a central defender is a priority for them after struggling for cleansheets this season, and Fanatik report either Sakho or Ranocchia could solve the issue.
With regards to the Crystal Palace defender, Fanatik say Trabzonspor have ‘close ties’ with the south London club since Alexander Sörloth’s loan move to Turkey last summer and they intend to use this advantage to sign the Frenchman.
They claim Trabzonspor officials will hold talks with Crystal Palace in the next few days to loan the 29 year old and they’ll weigh up whether they’d be able to afford the player.
Sakho has made just eight Premier League appearances for Palace this season and is currently struggling with a thigh problem. His contract will expire at the end of June 2021.
