The Portuguese media is today full of stories regarding Brentford’s interest in Braga left-back Francisco Moura, with several newspapers covering it.
The truth is that this rumour started in England, with the local press writing yesterday that the Bees are currently scouting the 22-year-old and could soon go for his signing.
So what most Portuguese outlets do today is only to share the information, as most of them weren’t able to learn a lot more on the case.
However, two did manage to get something, with one of them being Correio da Manhã.
Besides pointing out that Moura is well protected with a contract until 2026 and a €30m release clause, they were told that Braga ‘do not comment on this subject’ for now.
Meanwhile, newspaper O Jogo writes that Braga claim not to know about Brentford’s intention, with the Portuguese club saying they haven’t been contacted about this move for now.
Since the reports from England said the Bees will still watch Moura this week before taking action for the transfer, perhaps they’re indeed still to engage in talks for the player.
