Fenerbahce have turned their attention to Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum with Jack Wilshere looking set to join West Ham United.
Takvim say the Turkish club are considering making an offer for Liverpool’s Wijnaldum and Barcelona’s Andre Gomes.
The Turkish newspaper report Fenerbahce manager Phillip Cocu also wants to work with Wijnaldum after their time at PSV, for two seasons before the Netherlands international joined Newcastle United.
According to Takvim, Fenerbahce are set to test Liverpool’s resolve over Wijnaldum and the Merseyside club may be open to loaning him to the Turkish club for a season.
Liverpool have already signed Fabinho and Naby Keita this summer and it seems Wijnaldum’s chances will be limited going into next season.
The Dutch international was one of the most trusted players by Jurgen Klopp last season and he made 50 apperances in all competitions, scoring two goals.
Wijnaldum still has three years left on his current Anfield contract.
