After making a good start to the new campaign, Fenerbahce are looking to strengthen their squad by signing a midfielder before the Turkish transfer window closes on the 2nd of September.
Marseille’s Luis Gustavo is said to be the primary option for the Turkish side but Fotomac report Hull City midfielder Markus Henriksen is also a target for the club if they can’t convince the Ligue 1 club over the Brazilian.
It’s reported Hull City value the player in the region of €4.5m and Fenerbahce are trying to lower the fee. The Istanbul side are currently experiencing financial problems and subsequently have a tight transfer budget.
Along with Henriksen, the Yellow Canaries are also said to be interested in his compatriot Havard Nordveit, and the former Fulham and West Ham United player is reportedly a target for the club’s sporting director Damien Comolli.
Henriksen only has a year left on his current contract with Hull City and Fotomac report the player is considering his future after hearing of Fenerbahce’s interest.
