AC Milan have identified Aston Villa’s Matty Cash as an alternative to Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal, according to Sky Italia.
The Serie A side are yet to appoint a new manager, but are working on reshaping their squad for next season.
They are keen on strengthening the right-back position, where the Aston Villa player has now emerged as an option, partly because of Tottenham.
It’s claimed the Rossoneri have identified the 25-year-old Brazil international as their main target, and they contacted Spurs to ask about his price tag.
Sky state Tottenham have requested €25m for Emerson, which is too high for the Italian club. Therefore, they are looking at other options in the market, and Milan have shifted their focus to the Aston Villa man.
The 26-year-old Poland international has been a regular for Unai Emery’s side in the recently concluded season. His deal lasts until 2027, and the report says Aston Villa are requesting a high price for Cash.
Sky make no mention of any figures, but it’s likely that Aston Villa director Monchi will have a similar response to Tottenham… they won’t be selling players for less than their value.
