Last week Manolo Gabbiadini was strongly linked with a move to Everton, then Napoli decided he wasn’t for sale after becoming frustrated with what Fiorentina, another interested club, thought he was worth.
Then followed claims from France that Everton had moved on to Manchester City’s Wilfried Bony, and were ready to make a £20m offer for the player.
On Tuesday, Gabbiadini was then dragged back into the picture, with claims from Naples that Everton had even agreed a deal to sign the forward.
That’s soon been followed by claims from Sky Italia, via Tutto Napoli, that Napoli are now interested in Bony themselves and ‘trying to understand the margins’ of a possible deal.
To top it all off, the latest claims from Italy are that Everton are no longer interested in Gabbiadini, with that one switching to ‘off’ again.
It all results in a very tangled web, and with only one day left of the transfer window, things would need to move very quickly for any of these possible transfers to happen.
