Robin Olsen isn’t really a key part of the Aston Villa squad this season.
He is yet to play in the Premier League or in the Champions League and is playing less than he did in the 2023/24 campaign.
He has been linked with an exit and there has been talk of interest from Swedish side Malmo.
Now, he seems to be edging closer to the Villa exit door and AftonBladet note that this is because of an injury picked up by Malmo goalkeeper Johan Dahlin, who will miss the next six months of action.
This has left Malmo reeling and they are now desperate to sign a new goalkeeper in January. Earlier, the suggestion was that they would want Olsen in the summer but they are now keen to bring him to the club in the winter.
The goalkeeper’s current deal at Villa runs out in the summer of 2025 and in January, Malmo could be able to sign him for a very small fee.
